Greetings Does anyone have some guidance on controlling the drawing order of view on a sheet? I am wanting to place a duplicate of an elevation view (half-toned) 'behind' the coloured version of same elevation. This is to create the depth we want in our presentation level elevations. Other posts have suggested that it's all about the order the views are added to the sheet. But I have tried to load the background (half-toned) version both before and after the coloured view ... neither results in a positive outcome. See the atteched PDF ... I am stumped and hopeful that someone can offer a suggestion to assist. Ian

I don't believe you will be able to do this. When we want this affect, we select those elements individually that we want half toned in the view and over-ride graphics.

Thanks WW. This is what I am planning to do for our CDs. However I cannot achieve this when using "Shaded with Edges" - the colours defeat the half-tone effect. Do you know how to eliminate the colour of the half-toned elements in Shaded with Edges?

Thank you. This is a similar option to some other post I found during this search. But I felt that it would be hard to manage as an office standard, especially with multiple elevations/sections around the building. I have opted to use a method illustrated by Mr. Spot on his blog. http://blog.cadway.com.au/2009/04/revit-elevationsection-view-depth.html I find this to be a better method for creating view depth, at least for non-coloured views. For coloured views, I have found that creating multiple elevations was my prefered method - the 'front' elevation would be Shaded w edges with the rest being hiden line or half-toned. This may be less efficient, but better understood by less experienced Revit users. regards Ian
