it seems pretty lame that you cannot assign materials to e.g. walls where you need a color accent while walking thru a space.. trying to get inside a room in a non-perspective room is a pain.

@pchan, thanks for the tip - I have tried section box and it does help a bit but if you have a bunch of bulkheads, celinings, floor and stuff it's still pretty hairy...

in additional of section-box it, you can control the elements by VG (ie turning off your ceiling, and whatever else you don't want in the section-box view) and paint the material you need.

I have done it in the past and it is a pretty easy process.

yea, i know that's the way to do it but wouldn't it be nice to be able to just turn around and plop a paint color on a wall behind you instead of repositioning your section box and resetting it to show the other half of the room? .. and then when you need to drop some colors on the bulkheads and ceilings you have to redo you section box again to cut of the floor so you can look up.. a lot of messing with stretching of the section box and turning of the model to get all the materials where you want them - being able to apply materials in perspective would save you all this trouble + plus it would be so much more intuitive - like a walk thru.
