I have 12 years of AutoCad plumbing design experience and 1 year of Bently Plant/Pipe experience. I cannot figure out how to draw plumbing mains (ie, hot water, cold water and sanitary sewer mains) nor how to show risers connecting in the first floor ceiling. I would appreciate any recommendations on websites, videos, books, etc., which give some simple explanations on how to layout plumbing in Revit.

you have much more experience than I do at plumbing design, I have found that in revit you will need many workplanes. you must name the work planes and then you will be able to use the view framing elevation which will look directly at your view. you must also load fittings and pipe from the libraries. if your building is not been rotated you should be able to get automatic connections, the one that I am working on now has been rotated so the automatic connections do not seem to work well. hope this helps a little.
