Hello to all

Using Revit MEP 2011.

I'm trying to layout a plumbing system without connecting to the fixtures, which means

no "connectors". I just want to layout the system as a schematic drawing. I can draw my "vent"

piping, having setting it up as a filter name. However, when I draw any fitting, it will not take on

the name "vent" when I hover over it. How do I get my pipes and fittings to have the name I assign

them to.

Thanks for your help.

How are you filtering these?

What is the criteria assigned to the filter?

You really should be connecting them and assigning them to a system to keep them off the default system.

This will make filtering and modifying them a lot easier.

My pipe is a vent pipe. however, the elbow defaults to std. pvc.

I want my elbow to be vent pipe also.

Thanks
