Hi everybody- I'm currently experiencing a problem in Revit 2011 where I want to reference the same building elevation in plans at different scales. When I move the just the tag in the site plan, it also moves in the enlarged plan. So do I need to make a dummy tag? The reviteers in the office don't know whats up. Any ideas? Thanks a bunch.

Revit is not to a scale, it is a full scale model so this comment :",,, where I want to reference the same building elevation in plans at different scales". Doesn't make sense. You can view the building in any scale view. You wrote: "...When I move the just the tag in the site plan, it also moves in the enlarged plan..." Sorry - I don't understand this.

I was meaning that the plans in which the elevation tag is placed (on different sheets) are at different scales. Let me try to rephrase the question: Why are elevation tags moving in every view and not view-dependent?

We are having a terminology problem I think. You say plan view and you say elevation tag. That to me means a spot elevation tag. It could also mean an interior or building elevation view tag. - A spot elevation tag is a simple 2D tag and will no show in multiple views so I don't think you mean that.
- A view tag (elevation) will show on multiple views where it was initially placed. But it is a 2D tag and as such, it can be moved independently in each view after initial placement. BUT BE CAREFUL - The View tag and the view are both controlable. When you tab through the callout symbol, you will see the sheet portion of the symbol has the term "elevation"where the view portion says "view". You really want to select the elevation to movejust the tags. When you select this, the elevation and all of the view pointers will move as a unit. If you cross these, you will also move the views which is not what you want to do.
