Any UK people out there using the NBS with Revit? If so how do you go about setting up the keynote file in relation to materials? Looking at K10 - Plasterboard, do you specify all stud types (say K10/432a onwards) & all plasterboard types (say K10/415a onwards) to allow you to detail up 1:5 drawings with the materials, and then also spec the wall types under K10/110a onwards to allow you to detail at 1:100? Any advice would be useful as it's doing my head in trying to get an easy solution, although I suppose the above could be the 'correct' way to do it? Confused from Newcastle

Just updated my profile with the company website.I'm a bit sick of adding loads of materials into the NBS & then the Keynote file, but it seems to be the only way to keep track of them in the model. I'm thinking of just creating a generic material 'metal stud - Acoustic' or 'metal stud - C stud' then referring the individual wall types within the NBS to the stud clause which I might be good enough for 1:50s, however when you get to really detailed 1:5's this falls down as you may actually want to reference the stud type. I suppose this could be a 'Multi category' tag that looks like a keynote tag but just calls out the Type name of the detail item, which would function like structural tag. How do you work this at the moment?

So how is this handled on other systems? Do you change the keynote & material file to reflect every item specified, or use a mixture of ways - please elaborate!

i tend to use a mixture of ways, when im doing 1:50/1:100s i point it to the clause say K10 but at 1:5 my keynotes state the full clause of the item, but again on others when ive labelled partition types its the clause of the partition say K10/??? etc
