I cant seem to join the "roof by extrusion" into the two "roofs by foot print."   I can join the "roof by extrusion" to the top "roof by footprint"Crying10"/12" slope).  When I try and join the roof to the bottom "roof by footprint" (4"/12" slope) it says "roof cannot be joined."

I tried going into section and creating a void roof extrusion to try and cut the roof geometry to fit the appropriate roof slopes (kinda like you would in conceptual mass), but it says "there is a circular chain among references."

Any help would be much appreciated because I am trying to get my sections looking correctly and not have these "roofs by extrusion" jutting into the attic space used for storage.

thank you typhoon for that excellent response : )

I see in your video how the two roofs can be joined.  The difference with my roof problem is that the bottom roof does not go up and under the top roof.  It stops at the change in roof slope and the top roof begins slightly above the change  in roof slope.  Connecting the two roofs is a fascia board with flashing.  This roof is held up by trusses and the decking lays onto it taking the form of the truss.

Any ideas?
