I am working on a project which is multi-phased, multi-building and will have several different phases going on at once. I am trying to figure out how to best organize my files. If I have two separate buildings (project is back to back townhouses in NYC with shared rear yard) should I keep the buildings in one file, or two, linking both into a master plan file? Both buildings will need to have advanced room schedules indicating phasing, materials, etc and work could take place in both buildings under the same phase. Also, how does one deal with individual project phasing? Should the project be archived at the end of each phase, wiping the sheets clean for the new phase? I currently have quite a few plan sketch options, which I obviously won't need moving into CDs but would like to keep around for archiving. In CAD we would just save the sketch as a separate file in a separate folder, but it seems as though Revit likes to do these things differently. Is there a good read anywhere which explains the file/project management of a Revit project? Thanks.
