This is a dumb question but, how do I show floor lines with the name and elevation in the sections that corrispond to the floor plans I have created. The dont all show up in the sections I am creating. In 1 section you see, el. 10, el. 20, el. 30, el. 40, but no el. 50, in another section you see el. 20, el. 30, but no el. 10 or 40 or 50 I have the floor plans that corrispond to these elevation marks, but they wont show up. if i creat a new elevation line in section , and try to name it it tells me there is already a name like that. thanks

In order for a level to be see in section, the level has to physically be cut by the section. You need to find the missing level and change its extents in 3D to pass through your section. It may be the level is off to the right / left or well beyond your view depth. Find an appropriate view and drag it into range.

i would be sure to watch when dragging, that you have the level line end points set to set to 2d. if it is set to 3d it will move accross the project in different views. we had this happen and until we figured it out we pulled alot of hair. we had struc guys moving lines around and us arch guys were confused as to why our levels keeped moving and disappering. we'd move rthem back and struc was confused. then we figured ir out and all parties are no longer confused.

Bimman - There is a difference in 3D and 2D and the user should understand when to switch controls but the point here is that these should be 3D. The level should be there in section.
