I work for a company that just purchased Revit a few weeks ago. We are in the process of learning Revit and making our own families of the items we commonly use. One item in paticular is KILLING me!!! I can not figure out how to make a screened wall. I get very close but it does not seem to work. have tried creating one with every generic family to no avail. Basically what I am trying to do is make an opening that is screen in the middle and is pictured framed on the interior and exterior with a 3/4" x 3//4" wood. This screen wall will connect between two wood posts or columns. Ideally the screened wall can be placed and it would fit the opening or its outline could be changed (so that it meets posts, floors, headers or walls). The closest I have come is by editing a wall (making a very thin air layer in the middle and doing a wall sweep on the interior and exterior top and bottom) but I cant figure out how to make a vertical wall sweep in the editor to finish off the wood picture frames. I have drawn curtain walls that i cant load into my projects and even tried a window but could not adjust the size once I got it loaded. Plus the windows need a wall to insert into and we will typically have bare openings. Have spent way too much time on this (although I have learned ALOT by trying to do this) and just need a little help to get me over the edge. I am relatively new to Revit so some of this might be my own ignorance at this point and apologize if this is the case.Thank you in advance for any help!! Oh, I am using Revit 2011 and can proved files if helpfull.
