Hi everyone, I am new here and new to revit. Somehow I lost my original 3d view, and 3d view 1 or 2 wont let me edit my building. Any ideas how to get the original 3d model of my building to comeback? Also, when I try to make a detail, my screenh gets a sepia colored look to it, when I try to window the details I want, I get an empty group error,. Any help wopuld be so much appreciated, and thanks in advance.

First, you have not lost your model but maybe your view. If you just click on the building icon, you will get a default 3D view. "... when I try to make a detail, my screenh gets a sepia colored look to it..." Please elaborate... "... when I try to window the details I want, I get an empty group error.." This too is unclear. Are you trying to create a callout. If so, start with the view tab and pick callout.

That's just it, there is nothing in my {3D} view. No elements are hidden. I have all of my plan views and elevations. I have a camera view, and a drafting 3d view, but I am unable to edit it. The sepia colored screen*... The page gets almost a yellowish color, all of my buttons get greyed out. I can create a hidden line type crossing window by draging left, and a solid crossing window to the right. But nothing gets selected. I went Annotate>Detail Group>Create group. Perhaps I don't know how to correctly do details... Empty group error* it seems that the machine wants to affirm that nothing was selected. Also, I am trying to load detail files as a group, I am trying to avoid having to repeatedly search files for specific types of details, but I get an error tht says the component is not in the family... Again, am I not using this correctly? Thanks again for your help.
