I am fairly new with Revit. I would like to find out if there is a way to filter the exterior walls from the interior walls when you pick all. I am trying to copy all interiror walls from a level with the exception of the exterior walls that go all the way to the roof. and I do not want to go one by one. Thanks.

Select the interior walls in elevation. If all the external walls continue over multiple levels, when you drag a window over the level in question and filter walls the exterior walls will not get selected as they are not full contained within your window. As with ACAD dragging your window in different directions results in different effects of selection. HTH.

Thanks Mr Spot. What I need is as follows: I want to copy doors, windows, dimensions and interior walls from level 2 to level three. While selecting the elements, by mistake I pick an undesired object that highlights immediatelly, how I can de-select the unwanted Item (ie; exterior walls) when it is not specified in the filtering list?

Select all instances is a global command - it does exactly what it says.
