Hi guys. I have set up different wall types (new brick, existing brick, new blockwork etc). all are of teh system family 'basic wall'. Then each is a different 'type'. I am using course view style and have changed the 'course scale fill pattern' to the relevant hatches. When I print out i am getting a strip of thin lines in the hatch (see attached). Any ideas on what could be causing this? Don't think it is a printer issue as I get the same problem on my a3 printer and my pdf creator. Thanks for any help you can offer David

I looked at this earlier and did not answer because I have never seen this. We do not have this problem and nobody else has ever brought it up. I don't know of any Revit setting that could do this but I will continue to look. For now, I believe the suspect is still your drivers. TYhe way to test that would be to send a small test project to someone else to print and look at or to share it on-line in on a hosting site. I don't believe you can get the project small enough to post here.

Hi there. Still haven;t solved this problem. I have narrowed down what seems to be causing the problem though. My setup seems to be showing a hatch for walls that are in section and in elevation. The hatch for the wall in section is controled in the 'type properties' dialog box for that type of wall and I am happy with this. Unfortunatey the part of the wall that is hidden (i.e. below the slab) is also having a hatch applied to it, and this hatch is using the 'hidden lines' pattern which is thick than my hatch for wall in section and dashed. This is what is causing the wierd hatching showwn in the previous posts. So what is causing this to happen? Can I turn off the 'hidden hatch' function anywhere (I only want walls in section to be hatched) Advice would be greatly appreciated.
