How do you set an interior wall's centerline distance from the exterior face of building?

I have tons of newbie questions, but the answers are coming slow.

Figured it out.

1. Click on the interior wall you want to move

2a. If a dimension is from centerline of interior wall to centerline of exterior wall, then just click the witness line grab point till it moves to the exterior face

2b.  If a dimension appears in relation to some other object, just click the witness line grab point and drag it to the exterior wall and then do step 2a.

2c.  If the dimension does not drag past another wall to get to the exterior wall you must click the witness line grab point when it rests on the intersecting wall till get gets to the face closest to the exterior wall and then do step 2b.

Yeah, confusing. I thought so too.
