How do I get rid of a property paint on the surface of a wall?

The default wall finish is defined in the wall properties and it can be changed there unless the wall has been "painted" with a new finish. In that case, just "paint" the wall with the defined material. I don't have Revit open right now so I don't remember what revit calls it but it is in the drop-down list.

You have to paint it "By Catergory" to resort the orignal finish. Hope that helps
