Okay this might sound like a stupid question, but I am really lost here. I have a architectual drawings that has all my plumbing fixtures on it. The GC just wants a model with the plumbing pipes and plumbing fixtures. So I am having to combine the drawings. I have all the piping by itself, but everytime I try to copy the fixtures over I am getting an error that says eleemts are going to be deleted. I think I have tried everything, but I am sure there has to be away to d it. I am using 2009. Any help would be great thanks guys.

This sounds like it may be a host issue.   Do you have floors / walls for these objects to be hosted on?  If not, you may have to replace these with non-hosted elements.

It is wall hosted. Is there a way to change the hosted properties, to unhosted?

No, you can not easily switch from hosted to non hosted.  But you can copy the walls and fixtures then turn off the walls.
