Hi guys, I am having trouble with tables in revit architecture 2011. In a normal plan the table would cover the chair and you would therefore not see the chair underneath, however in revit the table top is transparent allowing you to see everything. So far I have checked heights in 3D, checked the materials are not transparent, edited the family and made the top solid, changed materials again, looked at different chairs and looked at different tables. All the tables are the same except for a kitchen unit I downloaded from here; http://www.revitcity.com/downloads.php?action=view&object_id=7094 I'm sure this is a simple fix but I just can't find it.

Check out your table family. It may be that in plan views, the 3D elements are turned off and you only have 2D elements. Also make sure you are not in wireframe view.

Thanks for the reply. Yeah I made sure all of that was sorted. Have just found the problem. The solution was simply to turn on Plan/RCP in the View Specific Display of the Family Element Visibility Settings which came up when I right clicked on the table top and clicked Visibility.
