Simmo,
Did you ever find a solution for an electrical busbar?
Or if creating one from scratch how is best to show this in Revit all connected to the board with the correct ratings etc?
Any help much appreciated.
Regards
Craig

First off, what do you want out of the busbar? If you are wanting smart data, calculations, etc. Revit isn't there yet, Autodesk only understands (barely) cable tray, conduit, and basic circuiting (they couldn't even conceptualize having 2 switches on a single circuit, yet we all have that in a hallway at home).
So, the question is what do you want it to do? If it is going to be used just for space consumption and thus for collision detection, then use an inplace family, and create a subcategory called BusBar. I don't think you'll be able to get a family which will perform as you'd like it to, and thus suggest in place as your next best solution.
GL and let us know how you decided to approach this.
