Is there any way to export a specific text type to a different layer in CAD than the rest of the text is going to? We have letters that we want to read as white in our logo, but Revit puts them on the "A-ANNO-NOTE" layer with the rest of our text notes, and then they print as black. Any suggestions on how to solve this problem are most appreciated!

The only way to do that, is with a custom subcategory, but since text and annotation families cant be assigend with a subcategory, you´ll have to trace the text with lines or as a filledregion... :shaking head: If you go for this option, then follow these steps: - Open the Titleblock family
- Go to "Manage" > "Object Styles"
- Create new subcategory named "Logo Text" (Or whatever you prefer)
- Trace the current logo text with lines or a filled region
- Select the lines or filledregion, and set the subcategory to the new "Logo Text"
- Load Titleblock back into your project (Overwrite)
- When exporting, you now have "Logo Text" available under "Titleblock" in the Layers and properties dialouge.
Cheers

Thanks for the reply! Unfortunately the lines are too small to trace, which is one of the reasons we tried the text option in the first place. At least now I know not to keep looking for a way to do something that's impossible...

You can use this workaround to deal with the short lines :-) It´s not impossible...

Why not just re-insert the titleblock logo in your CAD drawings?

We have a CAD titleblock for those times we don't use Revit (gasp!), so we're just going to generate a duplicate version in CAD rather than worry about exporting the file. Thanks to both of you!
