I am currently using Revit MEP 2011. I and am working on a linked project. We have 2 Arch. models and a Structural model currently linked in with our MEP model. The file size is of our MEP 116,000KB but am running 12G of RAM and generally runs ok. My problem is that we are having huge lag times while drawing piping, sometimes as long as a minuite. The weird thing is the rest of the project is running fine, no lags in the ductwork, lighting or power, only drawing pipes. i have looked through the forums and couldn't find anything that matched this problem. Any suggestions are appreciated, we're bringing it from DD to CD in the next 3 weeks so feedback is appreciated asap. Thanks

Just found another problem, not sure if it has anything to dowith the lag time but it is making bad transitions now. Everytime i connect 3/4" a branch into a 2" main it gives me what looks like 3/4"-1" Tee off of the main, but when i click on this Tee it says that it is 2" but is clearly not. It doesn't make any transitions like it thinks it's a 1" Tee but this is a problem we need corrected. I am going to try to attach an image of my problem.

Upon further research into this problem it is not just project based, when i open a new project i recieve the same lag time i experiance with the current one I am working in. Figured this might help narrow the problem down.

How big is the project? If you have all the disciplines in the model, is it workshared? If so, I would close out other worksets when modeling pipe. May also be a good time to purge, clear unused materials and object styles, warnings...also verify that your pipe is on the correct system(s)...things of that nature. As for the fitting showing the wrong size, I would check to see if you are mapped to the correct lookup table location in the .ini file. If you upgraded from 2010 make sure that 2011 is NOT looking at the 2010 lookup tables as they are different.
