I downloaded "Concrete_refuse_bin_7865". Opened it to edit the family. Made the changes I wanted. 

After loading back into the drawing, I found that information from this download was appearing and affecting other parts of my project. The language in the download file is not English (Sorry, I don't know my languages!). So, I am sure that the changes appearing elsewhere are from this file. The language form has morphed into other bitmaps and downloads in the drawing. also into material lists, and changing what appears in the rendering appearances. The rendering colours & bitmaps of the refuse bin have shown up in my walls, changing the appearances of my walls. So, I've had to go back and change most of my rendered objects. Yikes!

I have attached a jpg file of the materials list screen. 

Has anyone else ever encountered this, and is there a way to resolve this? I am concerned that it will be like a virus.... 

 I am using v.2010
