I am trying to sort a schedule of items with type marks that start with A through Z and then follow on with AA through ZZ. The issus is that in the schedule it goes in the order A, AA, B, BB, C, CC, etc. I would like the schedule to list the order A through Z and follow with AA- through ZZ. Is there a way to correct this without creating some kind of perameter that would not show in the schedule? I am using Revit Building 2011.

Sorry but REvit uses straight ascii sorting and AA is before B.  Perhaps you should use a different sequence or add another parameter to sort by.

Most likely too little....wayyyyyyyy too late. But you can put in a Unicode Control character in front of the AA, AB, etc. values and it will sort those after the A-Z.

You can't directly insert the unicode control character within the schedule or the type mark field, but you can copy one from another area and then paste it in front. I just edited a sheet name, inserted one there, then selected all after that and hit Ctrl+C, then went to the beginning of my Type Mark and hit paste. It's invisibly, but when you put it only in front of the AA, AB, etc. it works just fine to push them all to the bottom of that list.

Anyway, hopefully someone else will find this solution helpful if they are venturing down this road at some point (like I was).
