Is there any way to put a parametric section reference in a text note?  For example, “SEE DETAIL 3/A3.1 FOR TYPICAL CONNECTION”   I have been using section bubbles referenced to another view and then turning off the tail and shortening the section line until it doesn’t show.  This works but it is rather clunky.

The only way I have found is to make a section reference that is text only but since the references are bound to the view type you can't have a normal section reference referring to the same view. I'm using the same method you are.

Something to add to the wishlist.

As an alternate, maybe it would be possible to do something with keynotes. It wouldn't be linked to the view but if the view ever changes you only have to update one keynote to affect the entire set of drawings.

I found a thread in the archives entitled “Bi-directional linking with text possible?” that has an rfa file that contains text only.  I have loaded it into a project but can not figure out how to use it.

Is anyone familiar with this?

What I usually do is make a detail reference bubble, but make the bubble as small as possible so it is barely visible. It's not the most desirable solution, but it works.

That is what i have been doing also but I was hoping that there would be a beeter way.  the bubbles take up more room that I like.
