I have a condition where I need to show 1/4"CryingO.D.) tubing going from the back of a gas turret on a cart up to a panel in the ceiling.  I can make a tube as a sweep (I used a spline for my path), but I cannot create it 'out-of-plane'.  The cart is not directly underneath the panel so I cannot just link it to a vertical reference plane.

 Does anyone have any ideas/work-arounds/suggestions?

Thanks!

Use the pick line tool for the sweep's path.  Model your complex path with a sweep or blend, with a void cut in the other direction, and use the cut lines of that geometry as the path for your pipe.  You might get an error that you cannot create the sweep if your profile is not created on a straight length of path.  Attached is example.  I started the sweep at the bottom.

err, that'd be "pick 3D edge", not pick line.  Semantics.
