Hi everybody,

I'm new to this site and to Revit in general.  I have a problem with dwg import file.  Well, I have imported my autocad file into the Revit and I'm trying to start building a 3d model from the lines (i.e. floor plan) I have in the model.  The problem is that I know how to extrude lines if I draw them in Revit, however, I do not know how to make my autocad dwg lines into the surfaces.  My autocad plan has a lot of splines, and what I would like to do is to extrude those splines to create walls and floors but have no idea how to do it.  Please help!!! Thank you

Several things here ... You should try not to import CAD files.  Link them if you must.  Splines too are a problem.  Arcs and line segments are better.

We don't extrude lines to create walls - that's CAD.  Pick a wall type and place by using your pointer tool to point to your CAD lines.
