We are doing the fast track delivery. The foudation and structure set is published while the other parts haven't been fully developed. The track of revisions for early package overlaps with the delivery of later package. we plan to change back and forth on the TTBK for certain sheets to solve this overlap. On the sheets for later package we will turn off the revision cloud and the revision schedule.

A problem created is when we begin to track the revisions for later package, the revisions of early package(or at least the bulletin of early package Winking may still carry on. We clearly need two sets of revisions following the early submission and final submission. But since the two sets are signed by two different contracts, only one set of revision schedule is supposed to show on the TTBK. We don't want to seperate the model which means double work in certain zone and check in mind to make this two models are exactly the same.

Any suggestion of similar situation? Thanks.

We have a phased project right now... note the term PHASE.

We have multiple sets of documents.  Using mostly worksets, the early phase shows only PHASE I work - later phase worksets are off.  The later PHASE shows both but with phase I items show halftone.  If we move or modify a phase item object, we immediately  cloud and tag that in the PHASE I drawingsso that it will be in the next issue.

I WARN YOU - DO NOT TRY TO DO THIS WITH ONE SET OF DOCUMENTS.

From your description, sounds you are using phaseing instead of workset. Maybe you are using both, but I don't get why using workset is helping here. Please clear my confusion here. Thanks.

Since our early package mainly issue the structure drawings, all the architectural drawing we issused come with a note state "for reference only". The contractor is supposed to read only the structural and foundation information from our early package submission for their early construction. That means architectural(only!) changes from phase I to phase II , as long as they don't affect early structural construction, are allowed and are treated as later package information. I admit this still might cause confusion to contractor if they don't get this logic clearly. Let's drop this for a moment. My main problem is how to handle the track of revisions of two different phase. I didn't see the revisions can be linked to the PHASE, if it can, using PHASE can be a good solution, that means we can filter the revisions by phasing. Maybe I missed somthing, can you explain your solution further? Thanks.

In essance, we do use phases... but worksets too. Our problem in this set is the mix.  We have steel, upper slabs, roof decks and interior masonry walls in one bid set.  Slab on grade and the remainder in another phase.  Not a good mix.

We had to issue our drawings because of the masonry and edge of slab / roof deck.

Then do you have the revision track problem with the two different phase?

You can have some probelems.  But you can always add clouds and revision tags to earlier revisions - just more of a pain

This is the only thread I have found trying to handle the fast-track issue. I think that having the different fast-track packages as separate revit files that link in the base revit model might be one way to do it, but I have already progressed into my project far enough that I don't want to try to separate it into multiple files. So the only thing I can think to do is to disassociate the project phase and issue date from the sheet, so each sheet will have its own project phase and issue date (anot not refer to a file wide value), and then if you do revisions by sheet then only the ones that are appropriate to each sheet will show up and you don't have to separate the revisions by project phase.
