It's nice that Revit can quickly generate topography from a survey but I've had the toughest time trying to make changes to topo models. The whole process of editing topography seems to bog down the system immensely. I also get a lot of error messages (when editing) stating that the surface could not be triangulated. Anyone have any tips for making topo editing less frusterating?
I have a sloping site with 12-15 building pads. I suppose I could try editing the autocad topo file and regenerating a new topo model everytime I have a contour change. The downside is that I would probably have to recreate all the building pads from scratch each time I make a contour change.
It would be nice if I could place a building pad into and imported topo model but that isn't working.
