hello, hello this is a post how-to construct in revit, a floating roof structure as seen on sanaa project in lausanne and my student project based in palermo. as far as i understand, the best command to do this roof is to make a roof by face. - but how would i do this with this project? - what i think is to make walls with curvature profile on top base and make them invisible in renderings? thanks for help! h

With only those images I can't tell you how to build the roof because i don't know the shape you want to the roof, if you can provide more images with the shape you want I bet we can help you.

hello again, thanks for your reply. generally i want to create a wavy surface out of concrete, serving as both a public floor but also a roof structure over rooms underneath it. i figured that i will create a mass - because the roof or floor commands are structured into standard template roofs. - so my question is: how to model a wavy surface in general? i know how to do a mass structure, but cannot edit the profile on the z axis, only in work plane constrained by x and y (horizontal). hope you understand? h

In Conceptual mass create the profiles like you want (image 1), then select the profiles and click on "Create form" (image 2), after this, you can turn that form in "X-ray" and select any point, edge, or face and manipulate the gizmo (image 3), when you have your form (in this case Roof) like you want click on "Load into project", go to "Roof > Roof by face" and select the face (image 4).
