I have a fairly serious problem.

I've been getting the standard error message "Changes to groups are allowed only in group edit mode" when I'm actually in group edit mode.  All I'm trying to do is delete a few walls.  Revit will not allow me to delete them.  I have to ungroup in order to do anything.  This is not feasible.  What's worse is that I cannot replace the group with a fresh one, because it causes even more problems.

Furthermore, when trying to exclude certain members from these groups I get the same message...  As if excluding a member is somehow trying to alter the group itself.  Nothing is making sense.

Anyways, has anyone heard of this type of thing before?  I can tack this thread onto my previous rant about groups:

Groups are Revit's biggest pitfall & I hope they improve over the next few releases.   Repetition is such a vital part of the BIM process & these problems need to be addressed.
