would like to edit a sketchup model in revit. At least, i would like to place materials on there so I may render it in revit. I tried following previous threads about how to bring in a sketchup model into Revit, and being able to edit it afterwards. But, the answers provided were either in earlier version of revit, or they didn't solve the problem I'm using 2010, and I've imported the sketchup model. I exploded it. Then, I went into Visibility/Grahpics Imported Categories Object Styles and changed the material of walls to revit materials, but nothing changed. see image 1. Then I deleted one wall and replaced it with a revit wall. see image with glass wall. But, that is counterproductive. Is there a proper way of bringing in a Sketchup model that allows materials to be applied or Revit properties applied to it?

One rule you must follow: NEVER EXPLODE CAD/SK FILE IN REVIT There are thousands of threads like this in the FORUM, if you search you will find them... Here you have a couple of them: http://www.revitcity.com/forums.php?action=viewthread&thread_id=15792 http://www.revitcity.com/forums.php?action=viewthread&thread_id=18251#t68046
