Hi Guys - I have only just started using revit so this maybe a very simple thing to do but I am struggling to create a curved edge to my roof terrace. Something similar to this is what I am looking for: http://www.timbertechuk.co.uk/content/images/slideshow/balcony.jpg I have looked on the internet for help and had a play around with the drawing tools but have not had any look. It is currently a flat roof terrace with the railing around it, I just need to create that curve which overhangs the entrance on level one. Can anybody help me with this please, I am sure it is very easy to do and one of the experienced users can help me. Thank you in advance.

Are you using a roof or a floor for this? Either way, sketch the floor shape with this curve.

Select the floor / roof & edit. Delete the line you want to & add in using the line tool the curve you want by selecting the 'arc through 3 points' line radio button. Finish the floor. Use the 'Host Sweep' tool to create the upstand to the floor edge (use a suitable profile & when done use the instance offset vertical & horizontal commands to get it in the right place)

WWHUB - floor. Matthew - Thanks a lot for your help. I have managed to do the terrace and put the rail on but you can still see the lower wall which is just beneath the terrace (in my image below). Please can you help me with that?

Nevermind, I have just managed to sort it out. Can I just ask one more question - I need my building to have grey roof tiles and the few downloads on here for the roof tiles are not working for some reason. The roof is just plain grey at the minute, can I make the tiled effect with Revit or do I have to get a download?

Change the material of your roof in the roof type properties - that is why it is grey.

Sorry to be a bit of a pain, but I have had a little play around in the roof properties and I can't seem to change it. I just wanted a flat roof tiled design like: http://www.revitcity.com/downloads.php?action=view&object_id=7003 and when I click download this appears: http://www.revitcity.com/objects/Flat_roof_tile_7003.pat What do I do with that info please?
