I have copy/monitored the wall from the architectural model and I am having graphical issues where the architect used stacked walls (i.e. walls from ground floor to roof) vs. single story walls (i.e. ground floor to second floor).  I believe the model is seeing the wall travel uninterrupted up the building and is ignoring the floor system so the bearing wall is showing up solid versus dashed as it should be since the floor system is being supported by the bearing wall.  How can I fix this issue (see picture for stacked wall vs. adjacent wall that is single story)?  I know I can create single story walls to fix this but that doesn't seem to make sense as I am coordinating with the architectural model.  It seems this is a simple solution.  Please help.  Thanks.

Breakup the stacked wall into individual walls.  Right click on the wall and choose breakup.  Not sure if that will create coordination issues or not but for structural walls, you need individual wall controls.

I do not see an option in 2011 Structure to breakup the wall when I right click.

Are you clicking on your wall or the linked model's wall?  If you copy monitored the wall, you then have your own copy.  I don't have structure so maybe the breakup command is not in your tools.  It should be.

maybe the architect forgot to join the floor to the stacked wall?  that might effect the way revit structure reads the relationship between the two...
