I'd like to see mandatory image attachement for uploads, where it wont allow you to upload your object unless you have an image of your upload. I like to be able to see the object before i download it. Saves time when browsing for objects. Nothings worst than trying to find a something and having to download and open a bunch of famillies that don't have preview images. Having said that, I noticed that usually the quality famillies worth downloading have a preview image.

This is something we have debated about. On one hand, it makes finding uploads easier because the picture helps identify what you are looking for. Does requiring this extra step reduce the number of uploads to the site? Early on, it was more important to get uploads to encourage to people to come and share. Now with over 10,000 objects, perhaps that isn't as important as it once was and we can start requiring an image of the object. Currious what kind of feedback other RC members would give if we required this, would you not upload as much because the extra step makes it more difficult to upload?

Sound like maybe you could put it up as the next poll for RC users to vote on. I'd also like to take this opportunity to thank all of you who make this site a reality. It has made my work at implemanting Revit a million times easier. Very much appreciate the RC team efforts, as well as, the friendly and helpful user community.

Great idea! As I am beginning to upload items, I make it a point to include a preview as it is just proper for other to easily find what thye are looking for.

THis is a good idea but it would also be better if everyone entered the categories as well. We have several hundred items that were uploaded and never placed in a category. We are working atediting these but we are losing ground. bajoyce, I just edited your sink to correctly add the sub category listing for that item. You appear to have filled this in on your other upload - thank you.
