Just wondering if anyone knows how to make a parametric profile to use when doing sweeps? For example I can make a simple 40mm round profile and use it to create a handrail, or an L-shaped profile 150mm x 100mm and use it for a roof flashing, or a 90mm X 19mm rectangle for skirting boards, etc. But is it possible to make the parameters of a profile changeable? so when you load a profile, it is a single 'shape' with unlimited sizing options - eg. my round profile could be 1mm Diameter to 100000mm Diameter...architrave of multiple sizes, etc There doesnt appear to be anyway to dimension and add a parameter to a shape when created in the family profile editor. Anybody got any ideas?

The family editor in R09 has parametric abilities as far as I can tell?

Cheers Matthewh75, its weird because I can create a profile with instance parameters to change sizes, but when I load into into a project and add the profile to a sweep, the parameter options dont seem to appear anywhere. Attached is a flashing profile as an example. If you can figure out how to make the parameters appear in the project, (somewhere in the 'edit sweep' section I'm sure - it would be great.

I can't open the file, I'm on R'09 You need to alter the parameters within the 'Families' drop down under 'Profiles' in the project browser tree - find the profile you need & adjust/replicate there, then use that adjusted profile to create your new sweep - sorry I can't be of more help, we just need to upgrade to 11!
