I can use the default glazed panels in a curtain wall system, and edit the profile to account for angled mullion lines at the top or bottom. If I substitute the default solid panel instead of the glass panel, when I finish editing it tells me it gives me the Error-cannot be ignored message box stating...."Can't make type "Solid Panel" with the only option being to delete solid panel. Why can I edit the curtain wall profile if it's glass, but not a solid panel? Is there a system parameter setting that I am missing on setup?

Not sure about this one but for a temporary solution you may want to try making a wall type with the same thickness as the solid panel and using that instead of solid panel. That should get you where you want to be for now. I'll check into the Solid Panel properties a bit later.
