Hey

I'm on Revit 2011 and using the In-Place Mass tool. I have around 15 profiles from which I am trying to create my form. However it comes up with the error that theres intersecting geometry and using the reorder profiles button will try to solve the problem.... I've searched for a while and I cannot find such a button! What should i do?!

please help Smile

Just curious, could you post a screenshot or video of the profiles just so that we can make certain the this is the issue?  Sometimes the errors that Revit throws aren't because of the tool but because of improper use of the tool Winking

Are you certain you are selecting the lofts in the correct order?  Or are you drag selecting them?

Have you tried playing with this form in the CDE to see if it's a limitation of the in-place massing tool?

Just some thoughts.  Thanks,

Need help? I'm probably in my chat room!

You fell victim to one of the classic blunders. The most famous is never get involved in a land war in asia, but only slightly less well known is this! Never go in against a Sicilian when death is on the line!

I most probably havent done it correctly, I am not very experienced so I don't know what a CDE is.

I am trying to cut corners, I could use the swept/blend tool but what that will add to my workload. I have also added a render of what I'm trying to achieve but the cladding should wrap around.

Any advice will be much appreciated Smile

thankyou
