I am setting up a Toilet accessory schedule in Revit Architecture 2010 and I am having problems with information showing in the schedule and tags. I have all my information listed in the family and have shared parameters setup for TA number, Description and mounting height. Now i just need the information to show in the tag on plan view and the schedule. Below is the settings that i have set the information to. The shared Parameter settings inside drawing file: Parameters inserted with "Detail lines" and "Plumbing Fixtures" selected in the Categories box, and set to be a "Type" parameter. Inside the plumbing family the shared parameter is inserted as a "type" parameter as well from the shared file. I can get the items to display on the schedule but I can not get the information to show up in the tags on the plan view. I forget now what the settings were but before i could get the information to show in the tags but not on the schedule. So i am thinking it is a simple check mark that i am missing. Any help that you may be able to provide would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Mike

If the parameter is a shared parameter, then all you have to do is set your tag to read that shared parameter. The problem may be that you are pointing at two different shared parameters - even though they have the same name. If the family already has the parameter loaded in the family, you don't need it created in the family but if you do, make sure you are pointing to the same parameter in the same parameter file.

yOU MENTION "set your tag to read that shared parameter". I am not exactly sure how to do this. I looked in the properties but i do not see anything to point it to a particular file. Where would I need to look to set this tag?

I'm confused about how to tag Toilet Accessories properly.
Is it Mark or Type, or some other keynote. I don't car about the brand - I just want a number to appear in the tag.
I want all my toilet paper holders to be 1, all the seat covers to be 2 etc - but when I select all instances and correct the mark, then I get a warning about duplicates.
I'm using Revit Architecture 2011.
Also, I've built my accessories as Generic Models - is that correct?
