Hi there,

i've created a family that will act as a service carrier for multiple water and gas systems in Revit MEP 2011 (High Purity Water Loop, Chilled Water Supply and Return, and 4 diffent gasses) I've made all of these connections at the top of the family and am attempting to add this one compents to the multiple different systems i've created in the project. My problem is that when i try to add this component to the second system it will not highlight and allow me to add it. Can this component be part of several different systems? Very frustrating... attached is the family i'm working with.

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Without having MEP in front of me it's hard to test the family with systems.  Looking at the family, the only thing I see that may give you fits is all of the "Other" connectors.  Let me play with this family a bit when I get into the office where I have MEP to see if I can remember what the trick is to multiple systems with the "other" connector is.

You fell victim to one of the classic blunders. The most famous is never get involved in a land war in asia, but only slightly less well known is this! Never go in against a Sicilian when death is on the line!
