We splitted the floor surface and painted in certain region in the parent view, but the painted region doesn't show in the dependent view. is that normal?

No, a true paint is model based. Are you sure you split face and painted? Maybe someone used a filled region instead. If this is truely a split face paint, then you have found a bug and should report it. You might try duplicating the origional, creating a dependent and seeing what happens.

I am sure the surface is splitted first and then paint. I created the dependent view before I did the surface painting, I don't know if it's why. I created another dependent view just now (now it's after the surface spitting and painting), and the new dependent view show the painted surface.
