Hi there. i have some cranked columns taht i have modeled in place (i swept them along a cranked path). Is there any way i can make it so that the angled part of the colmn (which is at about 45 degrees) shows on my plan as a beam symbol (i.e. chain dotted line) rather than a elevation of the actual column.

Visibility Graphics, Graphics Override? If it is an in place component (as opposed to an in place mass) you can set the mass to a subcategory of the Beam category and change the graphics of that subcategory in your Object Styles dialog. See if any of this gets you going in the right direction.

You fell victim to one of the classic blunders. The most famous is never get involved in a land war in asia, but only slightly less well known is this! Never go in against a Sicilian when death is on the line! |
