I've have created a series of worksets and in the interest of consoldating our model for our project team, I have gone back to delete un-neccsary worksets. I have successfully moved all model elements into the worksets that I want them in but there is one workset that stubbornly refuses to give me the option to delete. All of the other worksets have this option. The workset is completely empty as far as I can tell, but I'm at a loss. How I can I get this workset deleted? Thanks

Does anybody have it checked out? Is it set to Current? Are there any warnings or messages that pop up when you try to delete it?

It wasn't set to current and there were no warnings. I've tried it both ways. The option to delete is simply grayed out. I wish there was a purge command to make sure that everything is deleted off of the set.

Also, no one has it checked out or borrowing it.

The initial worksets are all system level and can not be deleted. Workset1 - Shared Levels and Grids

Its not shared levels and grids. Its one that I created and now cannot destroy. Still not sure what to do because Revit was considerate enough to make this process irreversible.

From the HELP: NoteYou cannot delete the Workset1, Project Standards, Families, or View worksets. NoteYou must be the owner of the workset to rename it. If you renamed workset1 (if you can rename it) - it is still.... workset1

I guess I will try to rename the undeletable workset to one of my other worksets and delete it in return. It looks like there's no way around it. Thanks anyway everyone I appreciate the responses!

Very old thread, but if anyone still has this issue:
- For the workset you want to delete, select "Editable". The "Delete" button will become available.
- Close the workset dialouge.
- Re-open the dialouge and delete the workset.
Doesn't work with default worksets.
