Hi there

I have been using the 'split segment' tool for stepping a section in and out, it is realy useful. The one question i have is that i can;t seem to find a way os stepping the depth of the section as well as the actual cut line. Has anyone else found a way of doing this?

Thanks for your help

I don't believe you can do that.

Version 2021.  Is this true for call outs made from a split section?  It will let me set it to Independent but when I set the distance it gives me an error.

The Split tool  divides overlapping entities along their intersecting edges, separating each solid entity. In SketchUp for iPad, the Split tool does not have any optional tool modes. Note: An error message appears if you attempt to select a non-solid entity 2048 cupcake with the Split tool.Section Lines: ; color: #040c28; font-family: 'Google Sans', arial, sans-serif;">Used to indicate where the cutting plane cuts the material. Section lines are thin and the symbols (type of lines) are chosen according to the material of the object. Section lines are generally drawn at a 45° angle.
