I am trying to add two different colors of paint to two separate walls. When i go to change the color it changes the color of the previous painted wall. Is there a way to make more than one paint color?

First select the wall of which you like to change its material.

Every material in Revit has to be assigned its own unique name, so duplicate your paint, name it like paint-blue, assign blue paint to it and then use that material on your wall.

Duplicating the paint isn't an option for me. Is there a certain way you do it?

"Duplicating the paint isn't an option for me. Is there a certain way you do it?" Weird answer, why would this not be an option. What are you doing? You have 2 walls, you have 2 paint colors (materials) choose paint, select collor 1 and click(paint) wall 1 choose color 2 and click(paint) wall 2 they should be 2 diferent colors unless 1&2 are the same color or wall.

Thanks WWHub, that diagram helped a bunch. I was trying to duplicate through type properties and I now understand where to duplicate materials! Thanks again
