I have a concrete slab that is the roof over a below grade lab space. The floor object includes the structural  concrete  slab,  rigid insulation, and a concrete walking surface. The slab has been modified using modify sub elements so that it slopes in two directions.

The trouble I am having is that when the slab in cut in one direction for detail views, the floor material layers are visible. When I cut a section at 90 deg to  that view, I do not see the material layers, I see the entire section shown as concrete. This is not an issue of detail level, the layers are not visible when the visibility is set to fine.

The attached screen shots show  two views of the slab. The first shows all the material layers. The second is the same section view, duplicated and rotated 90 deg, and the material layers are not visible. No settings for the view were changed between these two views.

I am guessing that this has something to do with the fact that the slab has been modified so that the corners are set to different elevations.

If anyone has any thoughts about the cause or fix, please post.

Thanks

Check your detail level.

The detail level is the same in both views. The two posted images were the from a section that was copied and rotated 90 deg, so all the settings are the same. Interestingly, if I rotate the section 45 deg, I am able to see all the material layers.
