I'm somewhat new to Revit (loving it more and more), I just started to explore the rendering tools.  Does anyone know of some simple ways to add people to my Revit Renderings?  Should I just find some images and use Photoshop to add the people?  Any suggestions are welcomed.  (See attached sample).

Thanks.

mrDamon

See the images attached.....You can buy RPC images from www.archvision.com, but they´re not cheap... You can also make your own. Read your HELP Menu.

also, you can add people with a extrusion from people silouethe. There is a lot of that kind in Autocad format. Just bring that siloueths to an entourage family, add a thin extrusion ( lets say, 4 cms) and a semi-transparent material white. Just be sure to rotate all the extrusions facing to the actual camera... in large crowds that can be a real pain.

Curious of what package of People, Trees.....etc. you are using in Photoshop....?  Yes, getting burnt on the Archvision. They need to

work on their content, and also expand their horizons into VRay compatible objects.

Thanks, Brian

To: revittutorialsonline,

Are you clipping people from stock photos or are you downlading people from a website and adding them to your renderings.  Great job by the way.

The people and trees are from a library that I acquired, the people all have an alpha channel in photoshop so that you can select them nice and cleanly.

You might have AutoCAD Sketchbook Design, a program Autodesk throws in when you buy the AutoCAD Revit suite.

Produce the rendering in Revit. Export it (save it) in a JPEG format.

Open the JPG using Sketchbook Design ("Designer" not "Pro"). Import image you want to stick in the rendering. Locate and size it.

If you want to use an image that has background associated with it, first go on-line and subscribe to Clipping Magic ($4 a month at the present) and remove the background. Very east and fast. (Or you might be able to remove the background from the image using 2010 Word/Excel.) Clipping Magic saves the image in a PNG format. Works great.

Good luck.
