Did you install the two (2) "Web Updates" for 2011?

we installed 2 updates so far. the last one was last week. I think the problem is the memory. the same rendering at 300DPI worked on my laptop but didn't at work. The computer at work has a 3gB switch, but still isn't enough i guess..

"at 300DPI worked on my laptop but didn't at work." Are you sure it can find the path for the image? If it would be a memory problem I think the back ground would not be the hardest to calculate it's just an image to load.

I'm sure it finds the path. It works fine at 150 DPI, but turns black at 300 DPI..

Have you tried adjusting the crop size? That may help if you make the image your rendering smaller.
