Is it possible to create a profile on a meandering sweep as displayed on this early 1900's Neo-Baroque school auditorium:

You can pick a 3D edge (or a chain of them) for the path of your sweep. I have a rendering underway so I can't test this, and I'm not an expert in fancy trim--but if you can't use a wall's edited profile for your path, you can model the facade quickly in the same family as the sweep for a foolproof solution. In that situation I know you can use pick 3d edge.

edited wall profiles *are* acceptable 3d edges. Here's an example.

How are you able to make the sweep follow a 3D path?

Here's a related thread I posted in a bit ago. http://www.revitcity.com/forums.php?action=viewthread&thread_id=22616 To recap, When you model a family in place, pick a sweep. Instead of selecting "sketch path" to start your sweep, you can use "pick path." By default, you'll now be using the "pick 3D edges" tool, so, just start picking your path along a chain of 3d edges and you're good to go. After you sketch the profile like usual.
