Hi all, When I create a 3D view the model is displayed transparent. Is there a way to get around this problem. See attachment please. Thanks

To me it looks as though someone has selected two of your external walls and chosen them to be hidden in view through override element. Select the "Reveal hidden elements" command (the light bulb), and they should appear in dark red. Select each of them and then in the ribbon choose "unhide element".

Ya.. it looks like it got overriden.... It could also be a graphx card issue.

The walls are there, but when looking at them head on they become transparent, when I rotate the model to the other side of the building the walls that were transparent become solid and visible and the walls that were visible become transparent. So in a way you can always see through the building! I have attached two images. The first one is the north view and the second one is the south view of same model. I hope I am clear this time. Thanks

It looks like you've set the wall to be transperant. Select the wall And check the material properties. Make sure the transperancy is set to 0%

Also, like we can see you can select the wall, so, select the wall, right-click in your mouse then go to "Override Graphics in view > by Element" and see if you have the "Transparent" check, if you have just uncheck. HTH

Thanks gebber! It turned out the wall exterior surface material had the transparency of 75% causing the problem.

Just a note, it seems if all the above are in order, or if the walls suddenly change to a transparent (around 10%) look, you will have something stuck in the wall. For example, I just chaged the thickness and materials of a wall familty and had this problem. after some review of the job it was a few items ( plumbing fixtures) that had been affected and not were partially in the wall. I re located these to sit against the wall instead of inside it and all fixed.
