I remember the mass used to be transparent. But when I try to create a new mass family they all become solid. I went back to my 2010, found it's solid too. But the mass family I created before (from 2010) is still transparent even when open in 2011. I start thinking I am crazy...

You can control the visibility of all objects in Revit through object styles globally or VG by view.  Transparency can be set in either place.
