Hello I have various structural framing elements in my model. Some are R.C berams other are standard UC and UB sections. I want to be able to show these elements with different thicknesses in a section view. i.e. i want rc beam in section to have a thick line and a steel beam in section to have a much thinner line. I have set my r.c. beams to 'primary' and steels to 'other' fot eh structual usage, but when i change line type or colour for these types in the object styles dialogue window the changes only seem to occur on the plan views and not on the sections. Any ideas how i can get around this?

Object lines are controlled in projection and cut. If the color is only in projection, that is because you only set it there. If these beams are all in the same category, you will not be able to contol them globally in the file. You could individualy select them in a view and over-ride graphics in the view. Otherwise, you will have to edit the family and perhaps add a sub-category so that you can change them globally.
